Craig Ferguson

Today four of us from the Fun Day Trips Meetup went to the Craig Ferguson show at CBS Studios.  We had so much fun!  I was laughing so much that my cheeks were hurting.  We weren't allowed to photograph anything in the studio so that's why I posted this photo of Craig from the internet. 

If you are in L.A. this is a great show to visit.  The people who work there from security to hosts were very pleasant and helpful.  Tickets are free.  You can google Craig's name to find out how to get tickets.

If you don't know...Meetup is a great way to meet people with common interests.  Just go to meetup.com and you'll find lists of meetups for your area of the country.  They have meetups for gardeners, artists, travelers, hikers, sports enthusiasts, cooking, crafts, whatever you can think of.  In Fun Day Trips we go to places all over Southern California.  We've been to concerts, plays, movies, fairs, museums, etc.  It's really nice to find people to do things with when your family or other friends aren't interested in what you want to do.  I am not much of a homebody.  I'm always ready to get out into the world and see or learn something new!

A New Start

Hi, I'm back.

   I stopped blogging in 2010.  It's been two and a half years since I did my blog "The Little Yellow House."  During that time there have been some changes in my life.  I downsized from our house to a smaller home.  I lost two beloved pets:  Max and Meekie.  I joined some Meetup groups and made many new friends.  Life is good but always brings changes...sometimes those changes are happy and sometimes they're sad. 

I wanted to have a fresh start in blogging.  Many of my interests are the same.  I have a new home which I've been decorating and I'll be posting pictures of what I've done.  I'm still interested in fashion, traveling and doing new things.  I've been cooking more too so I'll probably share a recipe every so often.

Fall is starting and because I was a teacher, fall always seems like a new beginning to me.  Even though it's still warm here in Southern California, there's a change in the air.  It feels softer, not as harsh as earlier in the summer.

I hope you'll come visit me during the months ahead.  I have some fun things planned that I hope you'll enjoy.
